Biography
Graduated from l’École Des Métiers Des Faubourgs of Montreal in 1994, Mylène Bélair acquired significant experience working with independent designers as well as established manufacturers, before creating her fashion house.
In the fall of 2002, she successfully launched her first ready-to-wear collection. The MYLENEB signature was born. Driven by her growing recognition, she opened her first boutique in 2004 which is today located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. Her collections are also available in Toronto and globally via her website. Seasons after seasons, she charms the fashion industry as well as her growing clientele. In recent years, she has participated in several editions of Montreal Fashion weeks where her talent greeted each time. The industry recognises a controlled style and creativity and quality in both the making and the choice of materials.
At the 2014 edition of the Fashion and Design Festival, she was selected by Garance Doré to be part of her top 6 talents in Québec fashion. It earned her the privilege of presenting her spring-summer 2015 collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Montreal. This same year, her shop also rewarded with a Commerce Design Montréal jury’s prize for its interior design created in collaboration with _NatureHumaine architects. A talented creator and a businesswoman, Mylène is the mother of three children.
